The Names application ("Ismlar", package uz.prodev.names) respects and protects your personal privacy. We do not sell your personal information, display behavioral tracking ads, or collect sensitive device identifiers. In Guest Mode, all your saved favorites remain strictly on your local device. If you choose to sign in with Google, we only use your basic Google profile (ID, name, email) to synchronize your favorite names across your devices.

1. Introduction & Scope

1.1. This Privacy Policy explains how Names ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (Android package: uz.prodev.names) and its associated cloud APIs (collectively, the "Service").

1.2. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our data practices, please discontinue using the application.

2. Information We Collect

We strictly adhere to data minimization principles and collect only the minimum data required to deliver the core functionalities of the Service:

Guest Mode (Default) You can use the entire name catalog, search, and bookmark names without creating an account. In Guest Mode, your saved favorite names and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. No personal information is transmitted to our servers.

When You Sign In With Google: If you choose to enable cloud synchronization for your saved favorite names across multiple devices, we authenticate you via official Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0). We collect and store:

  • Google Account Identifier (Sub/User ID): A unique identifier issued by Google to recognize your account;
  • Email Address: To identify your account and associate your favorites;
  • Display Name: To personalize your in-app profile header;
  • Synchronized Favorites: The list of name catalog IDs you have bookmarked.

Push Notifications (Optional): If you grant permission to receive push notifications about new names or educational videos:

  • We receive an anonymized Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device registration token generated by Google Play Services;
  • This token is used solely to deliver notifications and cannot be used to identify your real-world identity or physical location.

Data We DO NOT Collect:

  • We never collect passwords (Google Sign-In handles authentication securely without sharing your credentials);
  • We do not collect precise GPS or location data;
  • We do not collect financial, banking, or payment information;
  • We do not access your contacts, SMS, microphone, camera, or device storage files.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information collected solely for the following legitimate purposes:

  • Providing Core Services: Presenting etymological articles, meanings, origins, and educational media for personal names;
  • Synchronizing Favorites: Enabling registered users to access their bookmarked names across their devices;
  • Sending Notification Alerts: Delivering updates regarding new articles and videos if you have opted in;
  • Service Stability and Security: Preventing abuse, automated scrapers, denial-of-service attacks, and ensuring server uptime.

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data to data brokers, advertisers, or any third parties.

5.1. Security Measures: All data transmissions between the application and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS).

5.2. Data Storage: Backend database records are stored in private, protected server infrastructure with restricted access.

5.3. Data Retention: We retain account data (name, email, synchronized favorites) only for as long as your account remains active.

6. User Rights & Account/Data Deletion Policy

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and global privacy regulations, you have full control over your data:

  • Local Data Deletion: In Guest Mode, you can delete all saved favorites and preferences at any time by clearing the application's storage in your device settings or uninstalling the app.
  • Signing Out: You may sign out of your Google account at any time via the Profile screen in the application.
  • Account & Data Deletion: If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated synchronized favorites from our servers, you may submit a request by sending an email to our support team at hayotilla82@gmail.com. Upon receiving your request, your user record and favorites will be permanently deleted from our database within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

7.1. Names is an educational onomastic and cultural reference catalog suitable for a general audience.

7.2. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

8.1. We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. When changes occur, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
